Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
- Facilitate and encourage active discussion of minimally invasive spine indications, techniques, outcomes, and emerging MISS technology
- Describe advances, emerging new concepts, and the latest research related to minimally invasive spine surgery
- Teach technical pearls and potential pitfalls of MISS procedures to facilitate safe application of MISS technology
- Define areas of controversy in MISS and provide best evidence for each approach
- Review the options and complications of challenging cases in MISS
- Discuss and debate specific case studies with SMISS members
- Explore future trends in clinical practice and technology as it relates to patient care
